It’s the May recap!

Each month we sum up our top moments from the past four weeks. Wins, leaps and everything in between. May has whizzed by faster than you can say ‘two bank holidays’. Yet Mooreskills has been busy as ever. With a progress and possibility-packed May:

1.Matrix re-accreditation – and feedback to SHOUT about!

After Mooreskills’ recent visit from matrix for an accreditation review, this month Mooreskills was re-accredited with the matrix standard. Mooreskills is delighted with its re-accreditation and will strive to maintain and continually improve upon our services. To top it off, we received some wonderful feedback. You can read the full story here.

2. Team member Rachel ran her first marathon to raise money for a local charity.

On 20th May, Rachel ran the Liverpool Rock & Roll Marathon in aid of The Whitechapel Centre. The leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region. Despite the heat, Rachel completed the 26.2 mile course in 4 hours 28 minutes. Raising over £1000 for the charity.

3. GDPR mania

If you haven’t heard the term ‘GDPR’ then you must have been hiding under a rock for the month of May! The General Data Protection Regulation came into effect on 25th May. Bringing with it many new rules on how companies can use personal data. We were busy preparing for its arrival and spent May getting our ‘ducks in a row’. So that we fully comply with the new regulation. For more information, take a look at our GDPR article here.

4. Customer excellence training

Mooreskills Trainers have had a busy month delivering customer excellence. Training to over 60 delegates across the nation in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Kent and Leeds. We do get about, spreading the Mooreskills effect where we go. Supporting learners to reach their potential.

5. New team members

May welcomes two new recruits to the Mooreskills family. We are very excited to have Zoe join the team as a Regional Trainer. And Denise who will be joining at the start of June as Operations Director. We are pleased to have them on board.

6. Staff training and standardisation

We had a successful staff training and standardisation meeting with our Northern and Southern Training and Admin teams. Maintaining excellent standards across all areas of the business is something we work hard to uphold. Everyone got a lot out of the day and it was great to see the teams sharing advice and supporting one another.

7. Bank holidays, a royal wedding, and more sunshine than we had bargained for!

To sum up, this month has been may-vellous. HQ hasn’t stopped. But, in our downtime we did enjoy two gloriously sunny bank holidays to recharge our batteries. And were even treated with a royal wedding on 19th May.

Bring on June and what is has in store…
